About Us

Dustin and I met back in 2001 through mutual friends and it was love at first sight.  We married in 2006 and thus began our Johnson family adventure.

Johnson Heartbeat began in 2009 after our first son Liam was born and diagnosed at birth with a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) called Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia (TOF/PA).  We initially started the blog to create a central place to update family and friends on Liam's health.  Since then, Liam has had 4 surgeries, numerous procedures and tests, milestones and more.  We are so blessed that at this time in our journey, he is heart stable and no interventions have been needed in the past couple years.  We are awaiting his last (hopefully) surgery, which could be anytime in the next few years as he outgrows his current prosthetic conduit.

Our little family has grown in the meantime as well, Noah our spunky little 2 year old and Adeline, our newest born, are such wonderful blessings making Liam the ultimate "biggest brother".  I blog here about our life journey, the ups and downs, milestones, traveling, homeschooling, home renovations and much more.  Thanks for stopping by and joining us on our journey!
